I’ve had an interesting relationship with blogs over the years. Perhaps more interesting than those relationships in my love life.
Then again, maybe not.
But you get the idea. For example, I’ve had a long-term relationship with a blog, keeping one going through college. You post for that long, and you start to lose interest, have to find a way to keep the fire alive. I had a rocky off-and-on relationship with one featuring my amateur movie reviews, until I realized I’m no Ebert and I gave that up. I’ve Tumbled and Tweeted and Pinned since then, too.
In the last year, my life’s changed more than it has in the last decade, and as I recounted the stories and updates to friends and family time and again, I heard the same thing over and over – “I’d read your blog.” You hear an idea enough and you start to catch on.
So I’m back in the game. I’ve learned a thing or two since I was last in this saddle, and already I feel like I’ve got a better start. The site it still changing, and will probably continue to evolve as I learn WordPress. But the content (which is King after all, right?) is still here, still the meat on the bones. I do hope you’ll read along, comment and share, too.
Here, I hope to keep you apprised of my travels (India recently, who knows where next), my move to New York (discovering a new city, settling in to a new job) and all the here and there I come across that seems post-worthy (let’s be honest, it’ll be about movies). If you find that sorta thing interesting (or just find me interesting in general), I look forward to counting you as a part of the conversation.
